“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” is something that you can read or hear everywhere. I am a person that has to eat something EVERY MORNING! Otherwise I will be a grumpy cat or I will get nauseous. But I do have to admit that deciding what to eat in the morning can be quite difficult. For me breakfast has been (almost) the same every day since I was a little girl until I was about 20 years old.
In Holland we eat a lot of bread (fresh bread mostly), so I ate one or two slices of brown bread with peanut butter or hagelslag (a.k.a. chocolate sprinkles). And I loved it, but I did realize that it wasn’t very healthy.
Since living on my own (with my boyfriend) I started to eat different. Mostly because I just didn’t have the same stuff as my parents but also because I wanted to eat a bit healthier. So I started eating yoghurt with cruesli. In the meantime I started to eat soy yoghurt instead of normal because of my lactose sensitivity.
I’ve got my Nutri Bullit for about a year now and I’ve used it a LOT. Smoothies are my favorite to make and also SOOO easy (but seriously, so damn easy). So one day I figured I could use the smoothie instead of yoghurt and make a very pretty smoothie bowl! I started sharing it on Instagram and I can’t stop making since.
How I make it? Well, it differs every time, because it depends on what I have in my fridge. But normally I use 1 banana, blueberries, (frozen) strawberries (depends on the season), frozen mango and frozen raspberries. I don’t use everything at once, but these are the ingredients that I use.
